Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel-that will stand. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. I will not leave you orphans I will come to you.Īnd He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation old things have passed away behold, all things have become new. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.įor it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit so you will be My disciples.įor by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit for without Me you can do nothing. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
